I started Taekwon do in August 1990 under Mr David Murphy. I was with the T.A.G.B at this time and had gained my First and Second degree black belt with them. I also sat my instructors course and passed this in 1994. I went on to become a qualified umpire and referee to help out at tournaments.
We then joined the UKTF for 3 years and then went on to be a member of P.U.M.A. which was a very good experience. I am now part of TaeKwon-Do Scotland ITF under Mr Mark Hutton and looking forward to many things happening for all our students and moving forward with TaeKwon-Do and Kickboxing.Over the years training and competing in Patterns and Sparring I have taken part in many competitions winning the Scottish, British, and European titles to my delight. My retirement competition was the Welsh championships in 2008 which I won silver. I now concentrate on teaching and am just about to launch the new TKD Tigers for age group 3 - 6 years old as well as having TaeKwon-Do and Kickboxing classes already running.
